Temporary Part-Time Survey Interviewer Opportunities – $20 per hour –
in Zion, Guadalupe Mountains, and other National Parks in 2022
The Institute for Tourism and Recreation Research (ITRR) is seeking qualified candidates to assist with visitor experience based survey research projects in multiple national parks beginning in 2022. The first national park will be Zion in Utah (January 27, 2022 to February 7, 2022). The second park will be Guadalupe Mountains in Texas (March 17-28, 2022). Additional National Park Service units will be surveyed in the summer, and may include Pinnacles, Capital Reef, Cumberland Gap, Mount Rushmore, Rocky Mountains, Gateway Arch, Grand Teton, Vanderbilt Mansion, Isle Royal, Thomas Edison, and Morristown.
We are interested in hiring surveyors who are energetic, outgoing, and able to easily approach park visitors and interview them about their experiences in one or more parks in the coming year. Data collection in each park usually lasts 12 days; positions require approximately 6-7 hours of work each day, with one day off during that period.
Protocols are in place to safely conduct interviews. Surveyors will be responsible for timely completion of work and must be able to meet scheduling and quota requirements. Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail are required. Familiarity with general operation of tablets is a plus. Accommodation and transportation will be provided.
- Please respond with a cover letter describing your interest, qualifications and availability, along with a current resume and contact information for three professional references, to Elena Bigart: email@example.com. Positions are open until filled.
